Wolfgang Puck has agreed to pay $1.7 million to some 900 former and current restaurant employees to settle an unpaid overtime lawsuit against Spago Beverly Hills, Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill in Los Angeles, and Chinois in Santa Monica, California. Attorneys for the workers claimed that Wolfgang Puck’s restaurants failed to pay minimum wages and overtime compensation, and failed to provide meal and rest periods for employees, in violation of federal and state laws. Employees were also required to make business-related expenses, without getting reimbursed for their expenses.
