Waiters at a TGI Friday’s restaurant in Forest Hills, Queens, have sued the restaurant for unpaid overtime wages. The class action lawsuit, filed on behalf of approximately 50 waiters, alleges that the restaurant had an unlawful practice of forcing employees to work off the clock and without pay.  The Complaint also claims that the restaurant failed to pay its servers for all the hours they worked over forty in a workweek, in violation of the New York Labor Law and the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). The lawyers for the workers are seeking payment for unpaid overtime wages, attorneys’ fees and the costs of the lawsuit.
