Tipped Minimum Wage to rise to $7.50 per hour on December 31, 2015

The minimum wage for all tipped workers in the hospitality industry in New York State will be raised from $5 an hour to $7.50 effective December 31, 2015. The Order of Acting Commissioner of Labor Mario J. Muolino on the Report and Recommendations of the 2014 Hospitality Wage Board, announced today, will affect over 229,000 tipped workers in the restaurant and hotel industry in New York.
