Guy and Gallard restaurants in Manhattan have been sued in New York federal court for minimum wage, overtime, spread of hours, and illegal tip pool violations.

The lawsuit alleges that delivery persons, food preparers, cooks, dishwashers, and counter persons working at Guy and Gallard restaurants in Manhattan have been cheated out of pay and tips. The lawsuit claims that tipped employees were unlawfully required to share the tips received from catering orders with all restaurant employees, including managers. The suit also alleges that employees did not receive the minimum wage, overtime, and “spread of hours” pay required under the Federal Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and the New York Labor Law.
